Here is my Ford Mondeo 2 liter 130 TDCI for spares or repair. This has been a good car to me untill now. I was driving along and noticed it was lacking ...> boost from turbo. When I came to a stop the car was revving highly by its self so I stalled it and its not ben started since. I had it towed home and been told the turbo has blown. It has tax untill 31/07/12 and MOT untill about 19/05/12. There are some body work issues, there are 2 large dents on the boot, one on the drivers wing and one by the near side rear arch. Mondeo TDCI Ghia (130) 6 speedI bought this car to lower my fuel bills and save for a house last year. The car has done its job and it is time for it to ...> go!, it is a 2.0 tdci ghia with all of the usual ghia refinements, front and rear heated screens (very handy in winter!), electrical height adjusted seats, climate control, cruise control, puddle lights on the mirrors (really handy!) automatic headlights, automatic speed sensing wipers, auto rear dimming mirror. The list carries on but these are the best bits.The car has MOT until february next year and tax until july. It has service history stamped in the book up to 82015 miles (5 stamps) and a receipt for a service i did at 98,000. I also changed the front brakes (discs and pads) around 1000 miles ago, and i had the problematic dampened auxillary pulley changed at the same time as the MOT (i will try to dig out the reciept..) also i had a new tyre fitted on the drivers side front less than 1000 miles ago (all other tyres are fine)It has had 3 previous owners and i have receipts for 2 of them, the car started life as a company car so it has been looked after properly. Its a good car really and has delivered around 50mpg for most of the time i have had it, sometimes more on a long run. I`ve done a few miles in this car, taken it to belgium twice and it has only ever been reliable.The bodywork is 8 years old, it has a few scratches here and there, nothing major at all and the only immediately noticeable issue is a dent on the passengers side rear wheel arch as pictured, its not very big and its never bothered me so i never got it fixed but ive had a quote for about 150 from a mobile bodywork specialistLike i said i am only selling the car because it has served its purpose that i bought it for, and its time for me to go back to the lexus i had to sell to save money! Report this review mondeo tdci ghia 130bhp overall i love this car 111000 miles and still dose 50+ to the gallon. The one problem I've had is last week it wouldn't start, as it was -8 outside i first went for a new battery, £59 lighter this didn't cure the starting problem, but would start on a bump, i enquired at my local garage, they said a new starter was needed. They had it for the morning, finding that it wasn't the starter.The car is now in blue bridge ford, and £224 pounds later it looks like the live from the battery to the starter is breaking down, my only problem is there's not one in the ford stock in this country, its coming from Spain. Report this review The Fuel injection for the Ford TDCI engine as fitted to the Zetec S 130 PS block IMHO is atrocious. The fuel pump bearings break up and require the pump to be replaced. This causes metal particles to get into the injectors and the whole rest of the fuel system through the fuel return line from the injectors. At £1000 to replace the pump and £392 per injector plus emoval and replacement of all contaminatedpipes and removal and flushing of the tank this is in my opinion , based pue ... when i brought this car in march, i thought wow what a car, then all hell broke loose when things started to go wrong. there was a massive wind noise from the N/s/R door which i cannot sort, ive got a new seal, fitted. the door has been adjusted, but still wind noise (so annoying)
idling the car was noisey, but when the clutch was depressed, the noise went away. not good...

Report this review I received one as a hire car, how anyone can rate this piece of junk as nice to drive is beyond me. The loud uncouth rattling engine with an uneven spread of power(gutless before the turbo comes in at 1500 revs and no top end) across the rev range is poor even by diesel standards. Interior is cheap looking, overly hard ride for a family saloon car. Its also big and ugly, why would anyone spend their own money on one of these? Report this review I bought the Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130 Zetec only 2 weeks ago to replace a 1997 1.8LX Mondeo as this was so comfortable and was my second mondeo. I wish I'd never bothered. The ride is excellent and the performace the same but the comfort is awful the lumber support even when turned to the lowest position is still hard, the seat back is hard, I'd be better on a garden bench! Don't touch these cars now if you have any sensativity in your backside as you won't have any in a few miles time.
