Read more... Commitment to the future As well as designing cars to look beautiful, we’re continually developing and perfecting our engines so they’re kinder to the environment. For example, our 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre TDCi diesels produce CO2 emissions of just 107 g/km, putting them in a group that would save you money. We’ve also launched a Fiesta ECOnetic, which produces the same torque as the 1.6-litre TDCi, but with impressive fuel economy and significantly lower emissions - just 98 g/km of CO2. Even better, the engine has a no-maintenance coated diesel particulate filter (C-DPF) which regenerates automatically during normal driving. To squeeze out even more fuel economy, the ECOnetic model is also fitted with optimised low-rolling resistance tyres. Another measure we’re taking to help the environment is using recycled denim and reclaimed upholstery to make all the noise insulation in our vehicles.
