Advantages: fuel economy,torque,insurance Disadvantages: cost of genuine parts Recommendable Yes: Detailed rating: Value for Money Road Handling Comfort Fuel consumption Looks FeaturesExcellent steviea Add to my Circle of Trust Subscribe to reviews About me: Member since:18.09.2006 Reviews:1 I have owned this vehicle for just under 12 months,and overall i am very pleased.It is the most powerful,most economical,and the fastest car that i have owned.On my daily commute to work i average 67mpg,and on a recent holiday to the norfolk coast i averaged nearly 75 mpg!!!The only downside so far is a problem on hill starts when loaded at low revs the engine stalls,this problem only happens when loaded,which seems strange.The other anoying thing is the price of ford spares,the fuel filter alone is over £30.00,infact my mechanic tells me mercedes parts are cheaper!!!At this moment in time due to the car still being under warranty i will use factory parts though a pattern fuel filter will no doubt be used when the warranty expires!Overall a great car highly recommended!! Report this review well what can i say, bought a 2002 ford focus tdci 1.8 115 ps about two weeks ago, it had approx 105k on the clock. lovely car until the revs started going erratically, replaced the diesel filter and cam shaft sensor, which seemed to sort the problem, well until the next day when the glow light started flashing and the car just died. now im told i have low fuel pressure and could need a new pump or injectors or dual mass flywheel or a blockage in the fuel pipes. if anyone has had this problem and managed to fix the actual problem with no more faults, please help and contact me on rsturbo23-03-02@hotmail.com cheers oh by the way DONT buy a ford focus.
