The car is in excellent condition and drives like a dream. It is immaculate inside and out and also has has a full service history. The car has done 105000miles but been well maintained, I`ve just had a service done on the car. The turbo was replaced in august 2010 and 4 months ago I had a new DPF (diesel particulate filter) fitted by ford at the cost of £800 and I have the receipts to prove this. I dont have receipt for turbo but it was done. The car is great to drive and very cheap to run. Road tax is £100 for the year and the fuel consumption is great. The car now has 18" alloy wheels on it. The car also comes with a sony cd mp3 player that I bought separate at the cost of over £200. The car has 10 months mot and just been taxed for 6 months. since last september but have to sell due to financial difficulties. | It has a JVC cd player with `vibe` 6 x 9 speakers. | I have just had a new windscreen fitted as the old one was cracked due to a chip i didn`t have fixed quickly enough. | I did an oil change when i got it and it`s done approximately 6000 miles since then. | It has electric front windows, A.C.,tilt steering wheel, remote central locking, cd player, foldable rear seats, alloy wheels, 3 x 3 point seatbelts in the back. | It is taxed until the end of july and mot`d until september. | It is in fairly good condition for it`s age with a couple of small very small dents ( one next to petrol cap and one on the boot door ) and it has a couple of small scratches on the rear bumper i`m guessing from loading the boot. car drives perfect.The engine is solid with no visible oil leakes or ruttles. The MOT runs out end of August 2012 but the car has done just about 1300 miles since the last MOT. I don`t think there is much to ask for come the next MOT. Fuel consumption is also very good on this car. Very clean inside. The body work is still very good.There is some service history in the book, the last one being at about 85000 miles. No rust but just a few scratches here and there, nothing major. out by GK Ford, the main ford dealer who supplied the car new. The mileage of 43,000 is genuine. The car was supplied new by GK Ford to a disabled gentleman under the motorbility scheme. GK also serviced the car as part of this scheme until it was three years old and had covered just 23,000 miles. At this point the car went back to GK Ford who then sold it on to another local elderly gentleman who continued to use GK Ford for all the servicing and MOT`s up until he part exchanged it back to GK Ford last year. I then bought the car. When new the car was professionally treated with supagard paintwork protectant (you can check this out on WWW.supagard.com) and it really has done its job as the paintwork still gleams as if its just left the showroom. There are one or two small marks/blemishes but you really have to look for them and I must stress they are very minor and don`t detract from the overall smart appearance of the car. The bodywork is very striaght and all the panels fit perfectly. The doors all shut with that new car clunk. The bottom of the passenger side front door has a small car park type ding but I didn`t even notice it until I`d had the car for weeks! It doesn`t even show in the pictures. The windows are slightly tinted and really compliment the colour of the car. The interior of the car is in great condition showing hardly any signs of wear. All the trim fits perfectly with no missing parts or rattly bits whatsoever. The car has never been smoked in and still smells fresh. The cigarette lighter and ashtray have never been used.The GK logo is on both front and rear number plates as well as stickers in front and rear screens,I have the original GK tax disc holder and leather key ring.The wheel trims are the original ford items. Being an LX it is fitted with electric front windows (both operate smoothly) and remote central locking with deadlocks and electric boot release and alarm. The steering column is telescopic and tilting and the drivers seat is height adjustable so getting a good driving position is easy. It also has the quick clear heated windscreen and heated washer jets - great for the frosty weather! The original stereo works well and has removable security panel and is coded (I have the code). It also has an accessory socket in the back - great for ipods, etc. on long journeys! The boot area is immaculate and looks like its never been used. Under the mat the boot floor is perfect and the original spare wheel and tools are as new and unused. Under the bonnet everything is again almost as new, with no signs of any type of fluid leaks. All the levels are spot on the marks and all fluids clean. Nothing has needed topping up while I have owned the car (I check them regularly). The dipstick still has the paper tag on it recommending the use of shell oil. I am told this is very rare as its been on from new and usually gets torn off and thrown away! The engine starts immediately on the first turn of the key everytime. It runs smoothly and quietly and pulls well from cold without hesitation. On the road this is one of the nicest cars I have ever driven. It performs well for a 1.4 litre and is extremely quiet. The gearbox is fine and the clutch is light with a good biting point. The gear change is smooth and precise, not sloppy and vague as most are. The brakes are keen and well adjusted. The handbrake holds perfectly. The suspension is great with no knocks or rattles even over all the speedbumps on today`s roads.The power steering makes the car light to drive and easy to park. There is no wind noise from any of the window or door seals and the car really is a pleasure to drive! All the original handbooks are with the car and in mint condition, still in the ford zip up pouch. I have the service book which contains nine service stamps, all by GK Ford. These stamps clearly show the date of each service, the mileage it was carried out at as well as the invoice number for each service and the name of the technician who carried out the work. The last service was on 18/8/11 at 41,536 miles. This was a major service and the car has only done 1,500 miles since. There is a sticker under the bonnet confirming this, also initialed by the technician who did it. The service book also has a seperate section to confirm the body and paint has been checked as part of the anti perforation warranty. This contains another six stamps also by GK ford. The last inspection was carried out at 38,545 miles. There are also two more stamps confirming the brake fluid has been changed. The last change was at 33,426 miles. That`s 17 stamps in total in the book...all by GK Ford!!! I have a printout of the MOT history going back to 2006 which shows that GK Ford carried out all the MOT`s. The car has never failed a test and was only issued with two advisories: one in 2007 for both front tyres being low on the edges and one in 2009 for a nail in the offisde front tyre and nail in nearside rear tyre. The car has just been fitted with a complete new set of uniroyal rain tyres (not cheap budget tyres). I took the car for an MOT a few days ago and as expected, it went through the test needing nothing doing and with no advisories.The tester even remarked on the fantastic condition of the car! This was not at GK. I have been in contact with the last owner who has owned the car since 2005 and have a signed letter from him stating the mileage is genuine and the car has had no problems. he does state the fuel guage had given him a few faulty readings but GK must have sorted this as it has worked fine whilst I have owned it. It is a lovely car and I spent a long time searching for the right one (good condition, clean, good working order etc) so am very sad to see it go. When I purchased the car I made sure that it had a new MOT and also had a friend who is a mechanic thoroughly inspect and test the car but he couldnt fault it and was happy for me to go ahead with purchasing it. I wanted a car that was in really good working order and thats what I bought. | I had originally listed the car for £3000 but I have dropped the asking price to £2549 for a quick sale | Points to note: | As with any used car there are a few minor scratches (no dents or deep marks) in a couple of places. The engine makes a slight rattle when starting up. Again this was there when I bought it and has never been a problem (I just wouldnt want any viewers to be put off). As mentioned I had the the car re MOT`d before purchase, it was RAC inspected and also critically inspected by my mechanic friend and they were happy. Apart from those, thats it! Very sad to see it go. and I realised that we needed a second car for the purpose of commuting to our work placements. Unfortunately, I have just discovered that my next work placement is a considerable distance away and I therefore need a diesel. If this were not the case, I would not be reluctantly putting my Focus up for sale. | The car itself is very reliable, was serviced when I bought it and had just one owner before me. It also hasn’t ever cost me too much to run (costs around £50-60 to fill up with petrol and returns between 350-400 miles when driven carefully) and is relatively cheap to insure at group 5. | Good Points: | The car is currently taxed and has an MOT (Tax: End of February 2013; MOT: January 2013), so it can be driven away on collection. The car has covered just 28,000 miles, which is a very low mileage considering its age. The car comes with a CD player, four good tyres and two keys. The car has had a new petrol pump and spark plugs fitted just this week.The car runs and starts perfectly, as would be expected for its mileage.I conducted a vehicle background check on the car last week and it came back completely clean, as expected. | Bad Points: | The car came with no service history other than its current MOT certificate and also has no manual. The previous owner has seemingly bumped both wing mirrors at one time or another, as the right mirror no longer folds in and the left seems to have had new glass glued over the old glass (please see pictures). The left wing mirror is securely attached to the car, but the glass does wobble and the mirror itself creaks ever so slightly when the vehicle is in motion. This is only a cosmetic problem and did not put me off buying the vehicle when I first saw it. The MOT certificate lists three of the coil springs on the car as being corroded. However, this appears to have been an error, as both my friend who works in the motor trade and my mechanic have inspected the springs and said that they are fine. The MOT certificate also lists a rear back tyre as having a split wall and having a nail in it. This tyre was changed before I bought the car. There are also a few other light scratches and small dints in the paintwork due to the age of the vehicle (including a very small amount of rust under the right wing mirror and a small scratch and scuff on the rear bumper – please see pictures). Thus, due to this and the other problems with the wing mirrors noted above, I’ve listed the car for a price that is lower than the one I paid just two months ago | I`ve tried to be as honest as possible with my listing, but I am confident that this car will give the new owner no problems as it always starts first time and is mechanically flawless. | Please remember that you`re bidding on this car to buy it.
