would like to say that I have owned several Focuses over the years and as you wil all know they are ultra reliable cars, nice to drive and pretty economical too. The car is still located in Liverpool at my aunts address but I am advertiding it because she is a technophobe and cant use ebay. Therefore when it is collected, it will be from liverpool at my aunts address. My uncle has never had any mechanical problems what so ever and has been a good car for him. The 1.6 engine is good and reliable and gives the car such flexibility to be driven a variety of different ways, and is far better and far quicker than the underpowered 1.4 engine, as in all fords the focus is very comfortable and has every mod con you would want on a car, please note however that there are some issues with the car... please read on. This vehicle has been maintained well since my uncle has owned it, im not sure abou the history beforehand all I can say is i have found receipts for two major services carried out in 2007 and 2009, I have no other records of services, perhaps this could be traced through Fords if there is any other history? About the car... The car is lovely to drive, very smooth and responsive and is a good everyday car for someone, though it neds tidying up a bit. Being the 1.6 version, it averages 38mpg and more on a run so is a economical car whilst being nippy when needed.The history it comes with will make it a very good reliable buy for the new owner, the car only has 105K on it which for this engine is very very low indeed. The car comes with some recipts, the V5 (been changed to my aunties name) and all the old MOT`s and bits and bobs in there.The exterior of the car is in overall ok condition. The bodywork on the car has some issues which will need to be addressed by the new owner if they are bothered by it. Firstly the front offside quarter had a little prang (nothing recorded on HPI) and as such there is a dent and some scuffing on the front and offside arch (see in the pics) the front bumper is slightly out of alignment which will ned addressing too if bothered. There was no damage recorded and the airbags are all in order, apart from that there are some age related marks and chips, scratches etc, but overall its not in bad nick for the age. just needs a bit of a tidyup, or can be driven like it is. As far as i am aware the wheels and tyres are ok with quite a bit of life left in them. The interior of the car is again in okay condition, but could use a bloody good valet. There are watermarks to all the seats (dont ask me how he got these as i have no idea) but everything else works perfectly fine. all the electrics are okay and working as expected. The engine, well there is nothing to say about it to be honest, it sounds as it should do and goes like it should do, the breaks, clutch, engine and gearbox are all fine and the car drives nice. There is nothing to mention about the mechanical side of the car and the brakes are good too.In summary a good reliable car, in need of a tidy up, which will be a good buy for the new owner at a brilliant price, so grab a bargain. I am not looking to sell outside of ebay and it will end for whatever it makes, as the car is being sold to cover funeral expenses. grab a bargain. The remote central locking is good too. as I have another vehicle. Has 76,455 miles on the clock but drives, handles and stops very well. The Zetec engine is notoriously reliable and pulls very well for a 1.6. I have used it daily for short commutes to work, with the occasional weekend motorway run and it has not let me down. Starts first time, every time. The heated ‘quick clear’ windscreen is great on cold mornings, no more de-icing or scraping required. | Trip computer shows average of 35mpg which isn’t too bad for a 1.6 petrol family hatchback, especially as it was only doing about 100 miles per week.
