| Here for sale is my Ford Freda which I have owned for the past 6 years. Since October 2008 it has only done 10,000 kilometers (speedo milage digits ...> is in Kilometers). Had I used it more, and not kept leaving it parked up, I think it would of been in better condition! | About 1 year ago, I had the cylinder head re-done (receipt for cylinder head work available). By the time I got around to getting it done, and picking it up, the chassis has gone. The rear arches, and I am told inner sills etc are rotten. Since then, again it has been stood. I havent had the rest inspected lately. | The battery is not holding it`s charge, and I briefly tried to jump start her recently but couldnt get her started. The garage inform me she was running after the work was done, but regardless, I am selling it as a non runner. I imagine she will be broken for spares. The engine and gearbox ran very sweet until I lost water and damaged the head, thats why I got the head refurbished. | It has done zero miles since the head was done. | All electrics seem to work fine apart from the front blower. Rear works fine, so I find this confusing... | There is a hole in the front drivers seat, but everything else looks very ok for its age. It did have a kitchen unit fitted, but this has been sold seperately. I still have a seat to go back in its place if the buyer wants it (currently fitted 2 + 2 + 1). I also have a side awning, with inner bedroom that I will leave in the sale, but this hasnt been assembled for a few years so I havent checked condition. It was fine, and there are no holes in the bag so mice cant of eaten any!! (I can inspect this properly on request). | The roof operates fine, but the net type outer covering is missing down one side. The plastic seems fine all round. | Tyres went flat and stood a while. Although inflated now, I imagine they are no good. | It has an Alpine 6 disc CD fitted. | This Freda must be picked collected on a trailer by the buyer, as it will not drive away. Just to save confusion. | Please feel free to ask questions. | Any inspection prior to buying is welcome. | Buyer to collect within 7 days of auction ending. | Happy Bidding. | X | £500.00  |

It is styled, literally, like a box, purely for space efficiency and for conservative Japanese tastes.
While initially a Japanese domestic market vehicle, it is becoming increasingly popular in overseas markets for Japanese imports, particularly Great Britain, Ireland, Russia, and New Zealand.
Most examples of this vehicle are automatics (there are a few manual versions), and are available in 2WD (SGL3) and 4WD (SGL5) versions. 2.5 turbo diesels are common in Japan, although V6 petrol engines are starting to appear. Later (post 99) models are a different shape and have different engines. Air conditioning (often with climate control), and Electronic Blinds are fitted as standard.

Some Bongo Friendee / Fredas have Mazda factory-fitted kitchen units, but many others are imported and converted to camper vans in the UK. All have fold-down seats downstairs to make a double bed, and on many models there is also an elevating roof where you can sleep two more.
