if any trouble since she bought it, she loves this car (maybe more than me) but the time has come when she needs a bigger vehicle. It’s the 1.6 Sport, fast for such a little car and lots of fun to drive. It’s only done 50,000 miles and just sailed through its MOT and Taxed till the end of MAY. The car just had a full valet inside and been machine waxed outside (Over £100) last week and has only been driven to the MOT centre and back. It’s got electric windows, cd player, air bags, ABS, alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking. Within the last 12 months the front discs and pads have been changed, as have the coil pack, ht leads and plugs. Now for the only BAD part I know about this little Ka ! ! ! It only has 1 key (pics) and my beautiful puppy got hold of it and put some marks on it. The key itself, works fine but it looks like it’s been chewed on. owned it till 2010 when sadly she passed away. At that point the car had done only 40000 miles in almost 10 years. She regularly serviced it at a garage in Derby (Burnaston Garage, Mickleover) for years but we cannot find any paperwork for this. A phone-call to the garage will confirm this. From 2010 till late last year I have been using it mainly for long motorway trips which is why the mileage grew to 72,990 when I took it off the road. It now needs to go. The car is correctly sorned and is sold as spares or repair due to the following:- MOT ran out late last year then I decided to take it off the road and did not bother putting it though an MOT at all as I had a newer car. There are a couple of problems with it but as you can see from the pictures it looks good and engine runs very well. It has also had a new battery recently. It also had a full service at Little Eaton Garage a couple of hundred miles ago where it had oil and filters and 2 new front tyres, there is also loads of tread on the rears. It was taken off the road as it has 2 issues which should be very easy to sort but is beyond me and I need to let go of the car:-: It has a rather worn front passenger wheel bearing. You can feel it when driving and when jacking that side of the car you can feel play in it. It requires immediate replacement. There is a slight leak around the drivers side steering rack gator, I suggest it may be a worn gator but again don’t really know. This fault has been on the car for over 30,000 miles has never got any worse and has shown up on both of the last MOT’s as its only advisory:- written as ‘ power steering pipes or hoses has slight seepage from a component (2.3.1b) I think these are minor points for someone who knows what they are doing, once done the car can then be MOT’d and put back on the road. I have the V5, it is in my name at my address and has been since we transferred ownership from my mother 25/05/2010. We have the service book but only the first one is shown in it. The last 2 MOTs I have are:- Oct 3rd 2009 to Oct 9th 2010. 35,165 miles at time of test @ Lutterworth MOT Centre Sept 20th 2010 to Oct 9th 2011 41,349 miles at time of test @ Lutterworth MOT Centre That’s it, come and have a look if interested. Make me an offer. As you would expect the car has 2 original keys etc. Car can be driven but wheel bearing is worn and remember it has no MOT and is Sorned so is actually illegal to do so.
