Comes with car, so its all ready to go. | Mot - None. Usually this is bad news, but as Mandy is less than three her first MOT is due 4/11/12. All you need to do is add insurance (cost me a tad over £300 all in this year, which is pretty good for a car this size, as I am not an insurance agent, I don`t know how much it is for you, could be less (hmph!) could be more). | Sony Dab Radio. Some fantastic music on digital, some absolute rubbish. All sound much better in Digital. Has an AM/FM function too if your favourite station is not on digital. Another function with this radio, which is guaranteed to save you points and money, it also becomes a phone via bluetooth! The radio/cd cuts off when someone calls you and you yell at the radio when you feel like talking. Some kids once thought the car talked when I pulled up at the shop and continued my conversation. Anyway far as I know its all perfectly legal, handsfree and although you look like a muppet talking to yourself, you will have the last laugh when you don`t have to keep forking out £60 or whatever it is for phone use!!!! | 18 inch alloy wheels. Why so big, no idea. They were on the car when I bought them, I will sell them with the car. The spare is one of those useless space saver donut things, but on the plus side its brand new never been used!!!!! | 6 cd multichanger. Don`t be fooled by the apparent single cd player, its a 6 cd multichanger. The cds hide somewhere behind the radio. I will happily demonstrate it too you on test drives/pick up of bought car. | Air bags. They are everywhere, steering wheel, passenger side, side of the car, I don`t know exactly how many there are, have never felt the need to smash the car to find them. Nice to know they are there tho. | Duel zone climate control. Why on earth anybody needs this function, I do not know. Basically its so your passenger can be colder/warmer than you. Its there, it works, never really needed it. | Air con. Has been recharged, not been used over winter, tested before I put on here, its bloody freezing with it on, so presumably thats good!!!! Will be of far more use when the summer comes (we all live in hope!!) | Electric windows - front and rear. For those with kids (like me) the back ones can be switched off at the drivers side. Believe me, that is probably the most useful button in the car. Which reminds me, there are child safety locks on the rear doors. If you don`t have children, am happy to unlock them. As it is, they are staying on so that the little darlings dont decide to do a suicide dive at 50mph!!!! They operate with the driving key. | Cruise control. If you really can`t be bothered to use the gas pedal, the cruise control works from the steering wheel controls. Good for avoiding speeding tickets too I guess, if you set it below 70!!!! | Rear Tinted Windows. My boys love these, the idiot behind can`t see you giving him the finger, avoids road rage. Kids think they are special and are being transported like royalty. So do the adults. I bought the car like this, so I have no idea why the tints are there, they just are. | 3 adult seat belts in the rear of the car, to match the 2 adult ones in the front. If you have only two passengers, the middle of the back seat doubles up as an armrest. Great for trapping each others hands in a fight, or for leaning on. Or for ignoring! | Massive boot. Handy for putting the kids in when they don`t behave. Or the shopping. | Folding Rear View mirrors. When you lock the car, the mirrors fold in. Automatically. Works on both keys. | Rain sensitive wipers. For when you can`t be bothered to use the wipers manually. Also thinks shade is rain, but hey ho. | Automatic lights. For people who cannot be bothered to turn them on and off manually. | Cup holders by the handbrake (x2) can`t think of anything to say about these other that it holds cups, or more likely, bottles of pop. | Front fog lights. And rear ones too. For foggy days, or as most people seem to use them for, extra headlights!!!! | Tow bar. For pulling trailers. Not recommended for dog walking. Single electrics so I can tow my trailer. If you want to pull a caravan, this car probably would. Would probably pull a train! More to the point, I seem to recall somewhere, that it is around 1.2 tons it can tow? Please check before attempting too, and you pull a train at your own risk! | The front console has two compartments, one for minor things, I keep the locking wheel nut remover there. The bottom part can hold some cds. | Glove box. Presumeably for gloves. Or for storing paperwork. | Bad Bits | Yes, its a car. There are some. | Stone chips. Yes, they are they, no I cannot be bothered to sort them, I am not selling a new car, live with it. They aren`t bad, but for the sake of honesty, I might as well say they are there. I drive it everyday, and that means a chance for more to appear. or not. Any squashed bugs etc that were missed when I cleaned it last come for free. Although if I do get time I will try and remove them for new owner. I will say there are NO nasty dings, scratches trolley dents etc, they would be sorted if they appeared. | Alloys. Have seen better days. 3 need a refurb, so may as well say all 4 do. Or do what I do, get them dirty and you won`t notice!!!!! Again, I repeat, this car is not new, am not selling it as new, so in 52,000 miles, they are bound to have touched a kerb or two. Again, they are not buckled or useless, but for the sake of honesty, I will mention it now. | Interior. I have kids, they seem to love making me clean the car, so are not fussy about wiping their feet on the seats or whatever. The car is booked in for a valet on monday, so it will be clean. Maybe not showroom, but then you won`t be paying showroom money. The reserve I have set is nowhere near showroom money. Also there is the dreaded cigarette burn. I can`t remember if I bought the car with it or not, or whether I have a careless friend or not, since I noticed it, I banned smoking in the car, but horse and barn door and all that. You can ignore it, fix it (no idea how much that costs, its hidden if someone sits on it, and I don`t notice it when I am driving!) or put a cover over the seats (again horse and barn door spring to mind, but I am a busy man in my defence). | Thats it. No nasty knocking, rattling or noises (unless the kids are in the car, but you can`t blame the car for that!). The engine and gearbox are superb, and everything works like it should. Sure a few cosmetic things to take into account, but its cheap for the year. I wish I knew Edd China from wheeler dealers, who seems to do all that for free, but I don`t. My suggestion is bid accordingly, you are buying a used car, knock some off for these fixes (should you want to do it, I didn`t!) and try your luck. You might be surprised. | Test Driving. I wouldn`t buy a car without doing it. Yes this is ebay, and I am being honest, but best to find out yourself. Email me for a convienient time to test drive, bring your license and proof of insurance entitling you to drive other cars with the owners permission and have a go. If you don`t have a license, or forget your insurance, I will happily demonstrate the car to you on the duel carriageway and country roads. Also you are more than welcome to bring a mechanic friend, the aa, the rac whatever. I have nothing to hide, but I am no mechanic. If they find a problem, I will rectify it, but as a professional driver I know a little bit, and I can`t fault my car. I run my kids about in it, I demand nothing but the best mechanical wise. | Fuel economy. Its DIESEL. (Just in case you didn`t know!) I can tell you I have managed 70mpg. Once. On a trip from Newark to Louth, I averaged 70mpg. On the return journey, a more normal 45mpg. On a 3000 mile average, I did 42.5mpg, including journeys and the dreaded short hops etc. I would say the lead footed driver will struggle to return less than 40mpg on average, the usual driver taking a little bit of care, mid 40`s is acheivable, and for the James May type of person, you could regularly return 50mpg+. Economy figures depend on the driver. I am not plucking the figures from thin air, I used the cars computer to give this information. Take it how you like. | Bidding. I know thats the idea here, you bid, I hope you meet my reserve and everybody is happy. But, and I apologise to the 99 per cent of genuine ebayers here, this paragraph must be put in. You bid, you don`t meet my reserve, you do not win the car. Sorry. I am happy to keep the car if I have to. If you bid, meet the reserve, then the hammer price is the price you pay. Not more, certainly not less. Don`t come kicking the tyres with your sob stories, I am not interested. View the car with pleasure, make of it what you will, bid accordingly. Hammer price WILL be paid, even if you don`t want it. If you mess me about, I will relist. I will name and shame you. I will chase you for fees, and I will do my damndest to get you kicked off ebay. Enough said. New bidders, we were all new once, and the rules apply to you as much as the people with feedback. I am genuine, honest and I expect you to be. No bidding if you dont want it or cant afford it. Let those that do want it and can afford it bid for it. Please! I am open to offers before bidding starts. No I am not going to tell you what it is. Its not new car money, Its not even car this age money, as I am aware of those bits which do spoil it a little. Not major things, but they are there. Hence a reasonable reserve. There is money in it for the dealers amongst you, as I know cars of this age sell for just a tad under 10 grand. I know of a ford dealer that has one with more miles than mine for £10,995! I appreciate my car isn`t showroom, but its nowhere near scrap either. Be sensible with offers, and I will be friendly, if you are close to what I want, I will respond accordingly. If you are nowhere near, don`t expect a reply. Simples. | Payment. Simple yes please. I personally prefer cold hard cash. Not funny money, not euros. I will check! Neither do I want your wife, or your kids, or your dog or anything else! I`m selling as spares or repair. My garage has advised that it either needs a new head or to change the engine because of the high mileage.The car has had a lot of money spent on it in the past, i.e. injectors / air-con pump / dual mass flywheel / clutch / intercooler.The bodywork and interior is in good condition. It had two new front tyres just before the cam shaft went on it.The MOT ran out on 16 May 2012 and the car is currently SORN as well. There is a full service history supplied.The reason for the high mileage is due to the fact that this was used as a taxi, however, this has also meant that the car has had to be kept to a high standard to ensure that it could continue to be licensed. The 2.0 diesel pulls like a train, yet offers excellent economy- official figures 58mpg combined. This is amazing considering the size of the car and the performance. The 6 speed manual box is very precise and is a joy to use. The inside of the car is very classy, lots of leather/suede and aluminum inserts in the dash, very modern. All of the controls are laid out in a sensible fashion and easy to find. This car is very high spec, the list above is not exhaustive, but gives you an idea of what to find inside. This car has had one PLC owner from new. Its been serviced and maintained to schedule as you would expect. There are 7 stamps in the book. The last service was done on 06/09/11 at 88951 miles. This car comes with both keys, the V5 and MOT setificate are present. The service book is also here.
