Obviously built in blue tooth with voice control is a good piece of equipment in it's own right. We also found it really easy to comfortable in the seats (both front seats having heating, cooling, height adjust and lumbar support).In my opinion, space in the rear is second to none. I am over six foot and even with the drivers seat fully back there is still room for an adult behind me.The only problem we have had with our car is that we've had to have 2 EGR valves replaced. Luckily the first was replaced under warranty but the second was an unexpected expense we could have done without. In my opinion, two minor negatives are that the engine is a little noisy by today's standards and that the car didn't come with reverse parking sensors (although we did have a Ford dealer fit body coloured parking sensors for us). Report this review Good Points: Cabin in Titanium X is well built, everything fits together nicely and works well, certainly comparable to my previous Audi.Integrated Satnav/bluetooth phone is the best system I have ever used. You can either use the large touchscreen or the steering wheel mounted controllers and the central Convers+ display.With IVDC the car seems to be even more comfortable that I remember the test cars (a Titanium X sport and a Titanium X on 17" alloys), with the IVDC set to comfort you barley notice any road imperfections, with it set to 'sport' you can throw the car around with confidence.Keyless entry / starting has worked without fault so far - it's great to just walk up to the car pull the handle get in press the start button and drive off. On the Titanium X the power folding mirrors now fold away when the car is locked so it is easy to tell from afar if the car is locked or not.I have had no problem with water from the tailgate (Ford have changed the design of the drainage on the tailgate recently) or water obscuring the wing mirrors (maybe they have changed something in this area as well)After 1000 miles the engine is starting to loosen up and the performance seems to be getting better and better although engine needs to be kept up to speed (2000rpm+) for best response. My previous Audi 2.7 V6 TDI would pull like a train from about 1200rpm! Bad Points: Whilst the drivers seat is very comfortable and highly adjustable (8 way electric seat plus lumbar support) I find that it does not quite go low enough for my liking. General comments: When choosing this car I drove all the 'usual' competition (Peugeot 407, Citroen C5, Vauxhall Vectra, Honda Accord) as well the more 'upmarket' competition (BMW 3 touring, Merc C class, Audi A4 Tourer). I must say the Mondeo matched up very well against all of them and offered the best combination of the things I wanted. The Mondeo was chosen on the following groundsSpace - more practical than any of the above cars with a HUGE bootPerformance - 2.2 TDCi was only bettered by the Audi A4 3.0TDI!Comfort - Again beating all above with perhaps the exception of the top of the range C5s with triple laminated acoustic windowsHandling - Not razor sharp like BMW but assured. The best blend of handling/comfort available especially with the IVDC option.Equipment - Excellent Touchscreen satnav which seems so much easier to use than 'wheel' based controllers (like iDrive/MMI). Keyless entry and starting, fully electric leather seats, all round parking sensors, front and rear heated screens.All in all an excellent car which I am looking forward to driving for the next few years.
