What Car? says:5 stars out of 5 Read review Buyer's notes Target Price team says: The S-Max's appeal lies in the fact that it's a big, practical MPV that feels more like a sporty hatchback when you're behind the wheel. It's great fun to drive, yet also as refined and comfy as a family car should be. The 2.0-litre Ecoboost SCTi petrol engine is exceptionally strong and smooth, but most buyers will go for one of the more frugal 2.0-litre diesels, which are impressively quiet and flexible. The S-Max costs more than rivals like the Peugeot 5008, but it’s bigger and all versions are very well equipped. Although they share most parts under the skin, the S-Max costs a lot less than the Galaxy. A higher roof and slightly raised rearmost seats make the Galaxy the more practical of the pair, however, and it also comes with more standard kit.
