saloon. Full Leather interior, electric everything, cruise control, air con, traction control etc (all working too!). I have used it both occasionally and as a regular commuting car for work (a distance of 70miles on the motorway). Make no mistake it will if you put your foot down go like a rocket, with 209bhp when it left the showroom - it doesn’t feel like it has lost any of its power. The Auto box changes as it should and the overdrive button works. The leather seats are heated in the front and don’t really show any kind of wear considering the age of the vehicle. They are very comfy and lovely on these cold mornings. Being made back in 1995 it has of course a few nicks on it, which I have tried to show the worst ones in the pictures. The front left and rear has had a light scrape on the bumper probably with a white wall I think. This was done by the previous owner (also an enthusiast) and the other day a stone chipped up from the road and there is a small crack on the passenger side of the windscreen, luckily not in the 70% drivers view area or on the sweep of the driver’s wiper. There is a small amount of rust on the drivers side rear wheel arch and last year had some welding to the rear sills, all old rusty metal was cut out including the jacking area and replaced with some 3mm plate and box section, and won’t be rusting again quickly. The rest of the underside was drill wire brushed and treated with Hamerite Krust then a coat of paint and then under sealed. The exhaust has a slight blow from under the middle and I have put some bandage on it which is just coming through now, also I had the rear silencer removed and replaced with straight through stainless steel pipe, I wanted to hear the sound of the lovely V6 engine as I’m paying for the fuel!! It’s just perfect, a lovely rumble at tick over and not too loud when cruising on the motorway at 70mph. The front and rear screens have a sun visor stuck on in black and the rear quarter windows too:- you can see in the pics (these can easily be removed if you don’t like them). So this is a fantastic opportunity to buy a true Ford classic that doesn’t need “Fixing Or Repairing Daily!” This is a good low mileage example. I have a sizable amount of receipts given to me from the last owner to go with the car. I’m only selling as I have been offered an estate version and so this has to go. The only thing i can find wrong with the car is the o/s front drop link makes a knock when going over humps [they are around £10 from motor factors]. and the other is it thinks the passenger door is open when its not [prob a sticky switch inside the door]. THEY HAVE BEEN MOTING AND FIXING MY CARS FOR YEARS AND THERE SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE, ROB AND DAVE DID WHAT THEY COULD OVER 2 DAYS, REBUILDING THE BRAKE CALIPERS AND FITTING NEW PADS, FITTING NEW REAR CYLINDERS AND CLEANING THE SYSTEM THROUGHOUT £120, THEN I CONTACTED JERRY FROM J AND J SERVICES, HE HAD A PRE FACELIFT, MK2 GRANADA, THIS WAS TO DONATE THE IGNITION BARREL, I ALSO TOOK THE HEAD LIGHTS INDICATORS AND REAR LIGHTS AT A VIEW OF MAKING THE CAR LOOK LIKE A PREFACELIFT £100 FOR THAT LOT, THE IGNITON BARREL WAS TO DIFFERENT SO I THEN DISIDED TO FITTED THE CORRECT FACELIFT BARREL, I CONTACTED SHANE FROM THE CONDOMS BANGER TEAM WHO WAS MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP, HE IS HAPPY TO SUPPLY PARTS FOR CORTINAS AND GRANADAS AND VERY HELPFUL, I PURCHASED THE FULL COLUMN FROM HIM, HE WELDED THE COLOUMN MOUNTING BRAKET SO IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO STEAL AGAIN £30, OTHER THAN I BIT OF CLEANING THEN TAXING THE CAR £118, I HAVE DONE NOT ALOT ELSE WITH IT, I USE THE CAR EVERYDAY, IT NEVER LETS ME DOWN, I HAVE SPENT QUITE ALOT ON THE CAR, I DIDN`T BUY IT TO MAKE IT TO MAKE MONEY, I BROUGHT IT TO GIVE THE CAR A GOOD HOME AND RETURN IT TO THE ROAD, THE CARS MECHANICAL SIDE ITS VERY GOOD, IT STARTS FIRST TIME EVERY TIME, FROM COLD OR WARM, IT TICKS OVER NICELY WITH NO SMOKE ON START UP OR THROUGH NORMAL DRIVING, THE AUTO CHOKE DOESN`T ALWAYS WORK, THERE IS NO GASKET ISSUES WITH THE CAR ATALL, NO OIL IN THE WATER OR WATER IN THE OIL, NO COMPRESSION IN THE COLLANT, NO LEAKS OF ANY KIND AND THE CAR USES NO OIL OR WATER, THERE HAS BEEN SOME WORK ON THE COOLING SYSTEM IN THE PAST AND THERE HAS BEEN FITTED A KENLOW FAN SYSTEM, I DONT KNOW HOW THIS WORKS BUT THE CAR NEVER GETS HOT ANYWAY, THERE IS A NEWISH WEBER CARB FITTED THIS WOULD BENIFIT FROM A BIT OF A TUNE UP, THE LOVELY V6 ENGINE TICKS OVER SMOOTHLY AND GIVE NO TROUBLE, THE AUTO GEARBOX GOES UP AND DOWN THE GEARS WITHOUT FUSS AND VERY SMOOTHLY, THERE IS NO WHINNING FROM THE DIFFERENTIAL UNIT, NO NOISE FROM THE BEARINGS ETC, THE CAR HAS A FAIRLY NEW COMPLETE EXHAUST SYSTEM FITTED, GOOD TYRES ALLROUND, THEY ONLY FAULT WHEN DRIVING IS SOME LIGHT VIBERATION ABOUT 45 MPH THAT CLEARS AT 60 MPH I ASSUME THIS IS WHEELS OUT OF BALANCE, OTHER THAN THIS THE CAR DRIVES LOVELY AND IS SUCH A JOY TO DRIVE, SO WARM SO SMOOTH SO RETRO COOL MOTORING THE COACH WORK OF THE CAR IS ALSO VERY SOLID, THE LOVELY LIGHT SILVER/GREEN METALLIAC PAINT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, THERE IS SOME MINOR RUST SPOTS ALL VERY MINOR I HAVE PICTURES OF THE CAR TAKEN 18 MONTHS AGO WITH NO RUST WHATSO EVER SO I ASSUME THE PREVIOUS OWNER IS TO BLAME FOR THIS, THE WORST IS ON THE DRIVER SIDE REAR ARCH BUT AS MENTIONED THIS IS VERY MINOR AND LOCALISED ALSO OF NO THREAT TO THE CARS LIFE SPAN, THE CENTRAL LOCKING ON THE CAR WORKS WELL, THE GLASS AREAS ARE ALL IN FINE FEETLE WITH NO DAMAGE THE SAME IS SAID FOR THE CONDITION OF THE LIGHTS ON THE CAR, THE CHROME BUMPERS ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MINOR DIMPLES ON THE FACE OF THE REAR BUMPER, ALL THE OVERIDERS ARE PRESENT, SUNROOF HAS NO RUST AND DOESN`T LEAK, LOCKING FUEL CAP FITTED, WHEELS HAVE ORIGINAL EMBELISHERS AND CHROME CENTER CAPS AND ARE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, ALL THE RUBBER TRIMMINGS ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, WITH NO SCUFFS, THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR IS ALSO IN EXCELLENT ORDER WITH ONLY ONE PLATE WELDED TO THE INNER SILL UNDER THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR, THERE IS SURFACE RUST UNDER THE CAR BUT NOTHING A GOOD WIRE BRUSH AND RUST PROOFING WONT ELIMINATE, THIS GRANADA IS A VERY SOLID EXAMPLE AND THAT INCLUDES THE INNER WINGS ETC THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR IS FACTORY FRESH, NO SAGGING TO THE SEATS AND THEY HOLD GOOD POSTURE, NO HOLES TEARS OR BURNS, THE DOOR CARDS ARE ALL UNMARKED, NO CRACKS IN THE DOOR POCKETS, THE ROOF LINING IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH A COUPLE OF LIGHT DIRTY MARKS, SUNVISORS WORK WELL THERE IS NO CRACKS IN ANY PLASTIC TRIMING INSIDE, THE IS ONE SUN CRACK TO THE DASH ABOVE THE RADIO NOT NOTICABLE FROM THE DRIVERS SEAT, ALL THE DASH NIGHT LIGHTS WORK WELL, I HAVE FITTED A BRAND NEW JVC CD PLAYER WITH MP3 OUTPUT AND USB THIS IS INCLUDED WITH THE CAR £130, EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE CAR AS IT SHOULD, IT HAS ROOF MOUNTED WARNING LIGHTS THE BRAKE ONE NEVER SEEMS TO GO OUT THOUGH EVEN SINCE FITTING NEW BRAKES, THE DEEP PILE CARPET ARE AS NEW THOUGHOUT NO DOUBT HELP BY THE ORIGINAL FORD RUBBER MATS, REAR 12V OUTPUT AND ASHTRAYS, TINTED GLASS, WOOD AFFECT DASH, NICE DEEP CENTER ARM REST, BIG GLOVE BOX, LOTS AND LOTS OF STORAGE ROOM THROUGHOUT, IN THE BOOT THERE IS A UNMARKED BOOT CARPET, GOOD SPARE TYRE AND FULL FORD TOOL KIT, THE INSIDE OF THE CAR DOESN`T GET DAMP OR STEAM UP, THERE IS NO CONDINSATION EITHER, IF IM REALLY FUSSY IN VERY HEAVY RAIN YOU GET A LITTLE WET PATCH ON THE RUBBER MAT IN THE DRIVERS FOOT WELL I HAVE TRACED THIS TO THE SEAL ON THE FUSE BOX BUT HAVENT HAD TIME TO FIX IT, FIRST PERSON HERE WITH SENSIBLE OFFER NEAR THE ASKING PRICE WILL DRIVE THE CAR AWAY, NOBODY HAS EVEN VIEWED THIS CAR YET! MOT (which expired 4th Nov 2010), I had every intention of seeing this `project` through to completion. But sadly I never got round to TAXing her, so she was parked up and, well the rest is history - Nothing happened. Today I brought her back from storage, checked the levels, tinkered about and she started. I have not resubmitted for MOT so have no idea what she would fail on I fully expect this will be bought for Banger Racing (and again, I don`t have enough time to do that these days either) so wont go into too much detail - the pictures probably tell you what you need to know. If there is anyone wanting this as a project and wants to know more just ask. I can take more pics, or am happy to have people view. I have the log book (V5c) and some old paperwork - but it is by no means a complete history. Obvious bad points that come to mind... Exhaust back box is off (in the boot) and just needs re-attachingDrivers door card is missing - passenger side is off, but in the back.Throttle cable or carb sticks bit of WD40 should solve it.Rear tyre is flat - been stood for 2 years so i`m suprised only 1 went down. I don`t think it`s punctured though.Nearside front wing is a replacement and is not painted.Interior has got damp whilst in storage, should valet out if you were keeping her for the road.Electric Windows are a little slow/unresponsive at times - connections probably need a cleanOther than that, she starts, runs and drives - although has no battery - I had to rob one off my other car to get her going and will be keeping it. The first picture is from 2010, the day I bought her - Clean. I am selling her with all the complimentary storage dust, so don`t expect to see your reflection in the paintwork when you arrive.
