sell it before I have even had a chance to drive it. This car has had Thousands spent over the years, most of which I have the receipts for, which total around £10K. The previous owner had the car for 6 years during which time he had it completely rebuilt, resprayed and reconditioned the engine. | Since the engine was rebuilt the car has only covered a few miles, to and from the MOT centre and from the guy’s house to mine. The engine has not been set up since it was rebuilt, so if you buy this car you will probably need to trailer it away, it runs but without it being set up I wouldn`t suggest driving it too far. | The underneath of the car is immaculate and solid with no rust. | The interior is clean and tidy, with no visible wear marks on the driver or passenger seats and the back ones look like new. | Under the bonnet there is the usual chrome and silicone upgrades, with some additional chrome bits thrown in as I haven`t had a chance to fit them. It has also recently had a new intercooler, new turbo (I think it’s off a Cosworth rather than the standard RS turbo), it`s had a recon head at some point, new cambelt, etc, basically its more or less a new engine. works fine. The heater direction knob needs replaced and the heater blower only works on speeds1 & 3. Power steering, central locking, electric windows all round, hands free kit, cd player, air con. 2wd/4wd high/low and RFW all work fine. There are only 2 spots of rust behind the sunroof and a small patch under the Ford badge on the bonnet. Otherwise rust free and solid underneath. Boot floor solid as well but no spare wheel. Normal stone chips on bonnet and a couple of stone chips on the windscreen.Electric windows, electric mirrors etc all working all ok, there is also a turbo timer fitted where the clock would be at the top of the windscreen and a white faced boost gauge fitted where the coin tray once was on the dash surround. Standard black dials.The car has a Sony single din aftermarket stereo fitted, 6x9 rear speakers in the uprated parcel shelf, 15 inch Sierra Cosworth lattice alloy wheels painted black, smoked rear lights, smoked side repeaters, clear front repeaters, Bailey dump valve, red Samco hoses, black rocker cover, Pipercross cone filter, turbo back stainless steel exhaust.Recently has had new oil, fuel filter, plugs, leads, dizzy cap and timing has been checked. Car was previously owned by a Ford main dealer mechanic so has been looked after as and when needed.Other than the minimal rust spots mentioned above, the only other bad point to think of is that the fuel gauge drops when braking, possible bad wiring? Otherwise reads correctly. The windows have some glue still on from when the windows tinted, but this can easily be removed and the seats could do with a clean. This is not my car but i can answer questions and arrange viewings of the car. the owner is my close friend and mechanic. Has only covered 30000 miles in 10 and a half years, it hasn`t been used as a daily drive but used more than a normal second car would be. i`ll start with the good stuff this car has had a respray in original diamond white (see the bad point) the car is fitted with escort cosworth front brakes and as near to new discs and pads as you can get. new lower arms both sides 16 inch multi spoke alloys (now refurbed in black, Mint!) with good tyres all round, found the receipt for these there 16 x 7 toora t944 couple of nice pillar mounted gauges (Nomad) new wheel bearing new handbrake cable The fuel pump was replaced with a uprated walbro itp048 escort cosworth pump aug 2011 Ive got loads of receipts and invoices for a Severn valley motorsport blueprint cvh engine including .5 oversized low comp forged pistons ported polished head, balanced rods + crank, lightened and balanced flywheel 285 cam kit(including lifters + springs), new waste gate actuator, injectors, severn valley chip, samco hoses with fitting and setting up etc it comes to about £7000+ (mental if you ask me, LOL!) over 6 months then a freshen up and more tuning in 2 years later for another £500 since the engine work was done the car has only done about 20000 miles it has front adjustable avo coilovers and standard (lowered though but not adjustable though) shocks and springs on the rear as the adjusters wouldn`t adjust. also it has a concept 50 alarm fitted I have the vehicle reg documents This is a serious car and very fast for a cvh turbo, only going out in the car will make you realise how quick it really is. so viewing is highly recommended, NO TEST PILOTS THOUGH, myself or the owner will take you out in it. couple of bad bits now filler cap surround has started bubbling drivers seat could do with retriming or replacing the green strip front and back where never put back on after the respray The car has some service history but not is nowhere near complete It had 4200 views last time and only one person actually viewed it. since the end of 2000 as the head gasket went and the previous owner never got round to finishing it. In the 3 years ive owned it ive done alot of work to it but have never got round to finishing it. Since ive owned the car i have rebuilt the engine. When i rebuilt it i had the crank checked and polished at an engineering company, replaced big end and main bearings, thrust washers, new cam and lifters, new oil and water pump, all seals, piston rings, Black diamond clutch, honed the bores, replaced exhaust valves and reseated all inlet. Before i reasembled the block i checked and cleaned all oilways. I fitted Mondeo Zetec 16" alooys and put toyo 195 40 16 tyres on them which are still like new. Removed ABS,stage 1 chip but not set up, bailey dump valve double capacity intercooler not fitted and needs some extra bits of boost pipe to fit. The interior is in very good condition as in the last 12 years has done less than 1000 miles. The car would not take alot to finish as i have most of the parts to finish, thing i know that need to doing, | Body is abit tatty as had things stored on it whilst it was in the garage for all thoes years but as it has been garaged for so long its not rusty apart from under the filler cap as can be seen in the pics and has only recently been kept out of one. since then it has been sheltered by a tree so hasnt been getting that wet. I have had it MOTd a couple of time and the person doing was suprised how solid the bottom was. | Turbo has alot of play in the shaft and is dripping oil into the exhaust so is smokey for about 10 mins after it is started. it still has a t2, i do have another turbo for it but never got round to fitting it. as far as i know it is good because it came of a fiesta someone i knew had and that was quick. he told me it was a hybrid t2. It also souds like it has a dump valve when the dump valve is disconnected, boost leak and i think its the intercooler but it will come with spare. | Gearbox is dripping oil from drive shaft seals, it is an xr2i box. I do have original turbo box but the input shaft seal had gone on it and it had lost all oil so fitted 2i box as i knew it to be ok. When i got the car ther was a gearbox in the boot that the previous owner said as a 1.8 deisel box from an escort it is ford but dont know if it is diesel or if it good. it has a diffrent number on it to the other 2. | It has a few electrcal problems. Some things dont work as some of the connections in the fuse relay box had melted. this is an easy fix as i have worked out what needs to be done. it needs some extra relays and fuses wired in. most things work i know reversing light, heater fan and front fogs dont. | Suspention needs looking at, frond anti roll bar links are banging away but will come with some new ones. one rear anti roll bar clamp is cracked but have replacement. shocks springs look original so could prob do with replacing as well. | Stering rack needs changing but these really are not expensive.I think this car could be put back on the road for not alot of money it just needs some time spending on it, if you have any questions or want to view it please message me im avaliable most evenings and weekends. | X | £650.00 | |||||||
